My knuckle is the first thing I have ever felt compelled to have painted and I couldn't have been more stoked when Max offered to help me out in that department. Not only is he my pal but I really dig his style, you always know when its a Max job. When I gave him the tins all I asked for was "black with just a little bit of something, nothing crazy". I like wild, over-the-top paint jobs but for my bike, I just wanted it to be mellow. Even though I did a ton of little tricks and treats to the bike I still think it looks pretty simple from far until you get closer and its obvious Max understood what it was I was trying to achieve and nailed it. Now every time I open my garage door my eyes go straight to that paint, its weird having something so nice for once. My only problem with the paint is that its impossible to take a picture of without getting all kinds of glare or reflections but that could just be because I don't know how to take a picture.
Once again, thanks dude for taking care of me and making me look cooler than I am.

Alot of people asked how I could just let a bike thats 95% done sit in the corner all year. Well its easy...I was scared, scared of the thought of being "done" with something. After heading up to Oakland a couple weeks ago to pick up my tank and fender I realized that I had to wrap this one up. Max nailed it with the paint, real simple yet effective and I can't thank him enough. Once I got home I knocked out the last couple things and fired it for the first time a couple days ago. I still gotta tune the carbs and fix a heavy leak around the front intake tin but thats ok...I'll pull the head off for the 57th. time again no big deal.
Thanks Troy for taking decent pics when I wasn't looking.

Skateboarding has always been about fun for me. If you know anything about skating then you know who Daewon is and how fun he makes skating look. One of the best on a board and most humble off of one. I just watched his part in the new Almost video and once again, was blown away. I've always been a skate nerd and it's no secret that I can get pretty emotional about stuff...watching this was no different, just so stoked I almost wanted to cry (kind of like half way through Guy Mariano's part in Fully Flared)
What he brings to skateboarding is so rad. Go get the video 5-Incher.
