finished these bars tonight but before i bolted them up i had to address one little thing. I hate seeing those bulky washers and nuts for the bars on the bottom side of a tree.



a little cleaner and it only took a few extra minutes.

how quickly I revert back to my bachelor ways when the ol lady's gone for a couple days. This has been my dinner for the past two nights.

saw this photo of Josh Kurpius's bike over at Kemosabe and the lodge and it stopped me dead in my tracks. I'm a total softy and have to admit this is just beautiful, kinda got choked up. The colors, the bike, the everything.....Josh, make a poster of this please.

after a long day of running around and kids birthday parties i was able to get out to the garage and finish this for the panhead. just gotta make the seat pan so i can wrap up the back end.

Today the 55 left my driveway for the last time. actually a little bummed to see it go simply because thats where it all began for me years ago in my parents driveway cutting, tweaking and just making it mine. Its all been downhill from there, like a disease i can't leave anything alone, I gotta put my own flavor into everything.

Lately, I haven't been giving her the attention she deserves so i knew it was time to let go. George is a great guy and wants to give her a new home. At least i know she'll be close if i ever need to pay her a visit and reminisce about the good ol' days.

So heres a small sample of this project we've been doing at work for the past year. The guy we're working for grew up in Long Beach and basically wanted to recreate the Pike boardwalk funzone he grew up playing at as a kid, just scaled down to fit in his warehouse.



Fully functional mini-diner named after his wife.


faux roller coaster with realistic sounds on loop through hidden speakers, actually almost feels like the ground is shaking.


oh yeah, forgot to mention the main reason for all of this is his HUGE collection of over 300 vintage pinball and arcade games ranging from the 1940's to the 90's.


this place is pretty nuts considering its a totally private gig, as in no parties, not for rent, no public, nothing....just him kinda flipping the rest of us off. This guys no joke, he's got a real T-Rex skull and a meteor that fell in China 400 years ago in his living room.

Maggie 2 days old...



...and 2 years old

A couple weeks ago our friend Jessica found out her 3 year old daughter Samantha had a tumor in her brain. Two days later she went in to surgery to remove it and biopsy it. Well a couple days ago the results came back and turns out its cancer and theres a bunch of little ones all over her brain.....fuck....they're saying its a 30% chance of survival. She starts chemo next week.....she's 3 years old man.

This whole ordeal has really been taking a toll on me. Events like this really put things into perspective. Just thinking about my little girl Maggie, how much she means to me and how little everything else matters. Working out in the garage while shes banging on everything with a wrench.... at the time seems like nothing, but it means everything. All this chopper and hot rod shit is cool but fails in comparison to the experience of having a kid.

I guess my point to all this is hold your kids close and cherish every minute with them and please send some prayers and positive thoughts to our friends Jessica and Samantha. thanks
