Pretty stoked to have my Knucklehead in the latest issue of Street Chopper. This mag has so much history so it's rad to be a part of it. The only thing I was worried about was that they might have to switch over to a larger format like the Japanese mags to fit me entirely on the cover, but to my surprise they managed to pull it off. This issues got alot of cool stuff like Jasin Phares Pan, Len Higa's Honda, Tyler Malinky's Shovel and a tech article on how to insanely paint a tank...keep an eye out at your local newsstand.

Mochi is such a cool dude. Very humble and respectful, I was stoked to hang with him a bit while he and his friends were in town for Born Free. I just got this little photobook in the mail from him today, it's packed with some seriously rad pictures.

BORN FREE 4

This years Born Free show was gnarly. The place nearly filled up by 11am with some of the coolest bikes in the country. The invited builder bikes were on a whole other level...Max's bike turned out so good, he received my personal award for best chainguard. The fab work and finishes on Brandons shovelhead was something to behold, one of the best. The Wretched Hive's Jeff Leighton and Dave Polgreen both brought bitchin rigs. Matt Olsen's Knuckle got him a free trip to Japan and what a Knuckle it is. Basically everybody killed it on such a high level it was just too hard to take it all in and I tried to, trust me. Oh yeah, I got best Knucklehead for my 47 which I still don't understand but awkwardly accept haha. It was rad talking to outta town friends and new friends, still one of the best things about these bikes is the people behind them.

Mike and Grant really put alot of time and effort into this event and it shows, thanks guys.

This super rare Petruzzi watercooled Knucklehead had the raddest cooling set-up. Fan blades attached to the spokes cooled the wound copper pipe...unreal.

My friend Alex and his lovely wife Thalie stopped by last night to hang out for a minute before they fly back home to France. Coca-Cola and Budweiser flowed like wine as they romanced me with their accents but don't be fooled, this ain't no sissy shit. Alex rides one hell of a man's bike around Paris and his wife gets down on her own little pre-unit BSA. Good people, good bikes...that's the way I like em.
